Do you find yourself taking over the wheel for Jesus, only to get lost and have to give it back to Him?
Take a moment for a reflective exercise: draw a circle about 4–5 inches wide. Let this circle symbolize all the knowledge and wisdom God has granted to humanity. Now, mark within that circle the portion of wisdom you believe you hold. If you think it's 50%, divide the circle in half. Yet pause and reflect on James 1:5:
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Most humble hearts will place merely a dot, recognizing their deep need for divine understanding.
You are of high value because you are made in the image of God, but you are not priceless. Why? Because your redemption came at a cost — the life of God's only Son, Jesus Christ. That is your worth: measured not by worldly standards, but by the cross.
We often spend countless hours scrolling through social media, sleeping late, or dwelling on what we lack. But what if we reframed those moments? What if they became opportunities to invest in our relationship with God, the true owner and creator of everything?
Jesus reminds us in Mark 12:17:
"Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."
This verse isn’t solely about taxes or money — it’s about priorities. We routinely give Caesar (the world) our time and focus. But what are we giving back to God? If our time is our currency, where are we investing it?
Let this month be a challenge: stop trying to manage what only God is equipped to handle. Surrender the wheel, embrace humility, and seek the wisdom only He can give.
Reflection Question: What part of your life are you still trying to control that should be handed over to God?
Prayer: "Lord, help me to stop pretending I know better. Remind me daily of how little I truly understand, and how deeply I need You. Teach me to honor You not just with words, but with my time, my thoughts, and my priorities. Amen."
Challenge: Every morning in June, give God your first 10 minutes — before scrolling, checking texts, or turning on a screen. Watch how that tiny sacrifice multiplies in wisdom and peace.
