By God’s Grace: June 2026 Faith Reflection

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self‑control." — Galatians 5:22–23
"To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." — 1 Corinthians 12:7

Reflection:

Talent shows how God designed you.
Gift shows how God works through you.
Fruit shows who you are becoming.

When all three stay connected to God:

  • talent becomes stewardship
  • gifts become ministry
  • fruit becomes the evidence of Christ

But when they disconnect from Him:

  • talent becomes ego
  • gifts become performance
  • fruit disappears

This is why Scripture always emphasizes formation before platform.

The goal of the Christian life is not simply to be impressive, productive, or even visibly "anointed." The goal is transformation, Christ being formed in us.

When our talents are surrendered to God, they become tools for stewardship. When the Spirit moves through our gifts, they become a blessing to others. And when the fruit of the Spirit grows in us, our lives begin to resemble Jesus.

But when our connection to God weakens, everything shifts. Talent becomes self-promotion. Spiritual gifts become performance. And the fruit that once reflected Christ begins to fade.

This is why the order matters.

Character before platform.
Formation before influence.
Christ before everything.

Because in the end:

Talent may impress people.
A spiritual gift may bless people.
But the fruit of the Spirit is what makes it all look like Jesus.

Reflection Questions:

  • Which is most visible in my life right now: talent, gifts, or fruit?
  • Are my abilities connected to God or drifting toward self‑promotion?
  • How might the Spirit be inviting me to prioritize formation over performance?

Prayer: Lord, keep my heart connected to You. Help me steward the talents You designed in me, use the gifts You have given me for the good of others, and grow the fruit of the Spirit in my life. Form Christ in me so that everything I do reflects You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
